About The Artist

I have discovered the joy of copper! It is a wonderful medium with which
to create wind sculptures, fountains, centerpieces, wall hangings and "yard
art". Copper is a lustrous, malleable material. Over time, I have
learned that it's texture can be altered in many ways: natural weathering;
chemically; by shaping it with any number of tools; pounding it; marking it;
welding it and changing its color by using varying degrees of heat.
I am a backhoe operator by day and artist by night! I was born and raised
in California and now live in Sanford, North Carolina with my wife and two
children. My wife says I would rather fish than breathe and it
is often while fishing that my inspiration comes to create. My
pieces often include creatures like crayfish, dragonflies, hummingbirds and fish
of all kinds.
I come from a long line of artists, including uncles: Gene Adams Logan and
Roland "Kickapoo" Logan.
I do commissioned work...so if there's something you would like which you don't
see in my catalog, just call me or e-mail me!
Thank you...Ken Coldren
